CrossingPoint International was founded by Dr. Craig Hayes in response to the need to help equip pastors in Africa & connect African American Pastors to Africa in keeping with God’s undeniable work of restoration within traumatized communities.
In 2019, Dr. Hayes was invited by Living Water International to travel to Rwanda, a country still recovering from the horrors of genocide roughly 25 years prior. Rwanda was experiencing political, social, and economic restoration driven by the Christian doctrine of forgiveness. The government at the time wisely acknowledged that, in order for restoration to be complete and sustainable, the Church had to be central to the process. Already engaged in work training pastors in the U.S., Dr. Hayes knew God was calling him to connect globally. The vision - to establish a global organization that would unite pastors called to minister in communities ravaged by trauma and equip them to become agents of transformation, sustained restoration and true healing. Thus, in September 2019, CrossingPoint International was born.
Led by its mission to equip the Global Church to drive transformational initiatives, CPI is moving forward in its work to facilitate spiritual formation in church leadership and forge strategic partnerships within the Body of Christ.
